Lake Location – Lurgan Road, Dromore, Co. Down. Take the laneway on the left after Dromore Community Centre, follow this lane across the bridge and the car park is on the right hand side.

Lake Size – 2.5 acres approx.

Lake Features – Lots of Islands and overgrown margins to keep you guessing, the lake contains some weed and has an average depth of 5-6 foot.

Difficulty Rating – Moderate although multiple captures are the norm.

Fish Stocks – 150-250 carp approx, lake record stands at 29lb 12oz although not caught for some time approx 6 carp over 20lb inhabit the lake, the an average size of 10lb. Other fish include Perch, Roach, Eels, Gudgeon, Tench and Trout to specimen size.

Swan Hole Fact File

Lake Location – Portaferry Road, Greyabbey, Co. Down. The lake is located immediately after the Village of Greyabbey on the left. The entrance to the carp park laneway is via a double green gate approximately 300 yards after the lake. Entry is not permitted through the estate entrance in the village.

Lake Size – 10 acres approx

Lake Features – A very weedy lake with good clear margins, very productive silt beds and gravel bars make this a challenging lake, the average depth is 4 foot. These fish love floating baits so be sure to bring a floater rod and some bread.

Difficulty Rating – Moderate to Hard.

Fish Stocks – 150 carp, lake record stands at 21lb, the average size of carp is 10lb. Other fish include Rudd, Perch, Tench, Pike and Eels.
